Learn2bMindful provides mindfulness-based programs for individuals who want to learn healthy and skillful ways to more effectively cope with stress.

Learn2bMindful was inspired by the model of the Stress Reduction Clinic at UMass Memorial Medical Center (now the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Healthcare and Society at UMass Medical School) founded by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn in 1979. Over the years, many scientific studies have shown Mindfulness practice to be effective for the treatment of pain, anxiety, depression, and other medical conditions which are known to be caused or exacerbated by stress.

Learn2bMindful is NOT a substitute for medical care through a doctor or therapist. 


Mindfulness training involves learning about the relationship between an individual's mind, body and emotions - and more importantly - how these different elements influence each other and can lead to unhealthy stressful reactions. Participants apply this understanding of the nature of stress to their own unique experiences and become, in effect, students of themselves.

Participants are also taught concrete mindfulness tools which, when applied skillfully and practiced over time, can help them to cope with stress more effectively.

Many healthcare providers, therapists, and yoga instructors have taken Mindfulness based programs to reduce stress in their own lives and to integrate mindfulness tools into their own professional practices.
